Beginning the Process
If you would like to discuss beginning therapy, please call me at (949) 400-6435. During the initial phone consultation, we will discuss some specifics regarding how I can help. I will answer your questions and we can schedule your initial appointment.
During the first and second appointments, we will focus more in-depth on discussing the issues or symptoms you want to be reduced. I will share my ideas for treatment and talk about how we proceed.
After the initial assessment, we will together develop a treatment plan tailored for you. This plan is to help you achieve the goals and outcomes you have set for yourself. We will work on the process to achieve the outcome you desire.
Sometimes in therapy individual’s symptoms are heightened or exacerbated; this is a healthy or normal reaction as individuals, couples or families proceed towards change and growth. When these changes and growth occur in therapy it is a wonderful and fulfilling feeling.
I want to assure you that your care and well-being is important to me. Communication is a vital part of starting a good therapeutic relationship. I check my voice mails and e-mails periodically during the day. I know the first call is a tough one for some and even fearful for others.
